Data Feeds
- Tim Schauder
Lumira Discovery enables you to assign data to extension components using so called data feeds. Unfortunately dragging and dropping measures and dimensions directly onto the chart's axis is not supported with extension components. The chapter Quick Start covers how to access the data feeds.
Percentage Deviation
This feed is optional and takes exactly two measures. The first measure we call base and the second one will be referred to as just measure. If you assign data to this feed, an additional deviation axis will be shown in the chart. It displays the percentage deviation between base and measure calculated using the following formula: 100*(measure-base)/abs(base)
Absolute Deviation
This feed is optional and takes two measures as well. If you assign data to this feed, an additional deviation axis will be shown in the chart. It displays the absolute deviation between base and measure calculated using the following formula: measure - base
Base Measures
You should assign at least one measure to this feed to display the base chart. It takes up to five measures which will be displayed as data series of the base chart. With a clear and meaningful visualization in mind, we recommend to use the same measures for the base chart as for the deviations, but of course you could assign additional data series or completely new ones to the base chart.
Dimensions
This feed takes an arbitrary amount of dimensions. They are displayed as category labels at the chart's main axis. If you assign more than one dimension, the chart displays them as hierarchical category labels one level below the other.
