Property Cellbinding

Since the graphomate charts for Excel version 1.4 it is possible to bind cell entries directly from the excel workbook to all basic properties. Therefore you need to go to the Basic Properties Sheet and select the [...]-button next to the property. In the following step you mark the desired cellrange and click Ok in the dialog. Any modifications in the selected cellrange are applied directly to the connected chart.

If the cell content starts with something that usually introduces a formula in Excel, then the input must be preceded by a single apostrophe ' as a string. This behaviour occurs when the Property Cellbinding is used to define the Extended Number Format for example.

Possible usage of Property Cellbinding:

Manual Seperator Position:

1. After creating a graphomate chart you can add seperators per cellbinding. Pick the chart and switch in the Additional Properties Sheet to Helper Tab. Activate the property Separators and choose Manual. Please don't insert any values in the empty cells.

2. In the next step you go to the Basic Properties Sheet and click into the empty space ([..]-button) right next to the property Manual Separator Position.

3. Following up you need to mark the cellrange which provides the values for the property. In this case the position of each separator. Confirm the dialog with Ok.

4. The Separators are now drawn directly into the chart. Likewise changes within the selected cellrange are applied directly, even the chart is not selected.
