First Steps
For internationally operating users/companies it is absolutely necessary to use Tableau in a common language in combination with our extensions. This is due to a behavior of Tableau where certain data objects do not have universal Id's but local names. Connecting our extensions to one of these objects leads to a loss of this data connection as soon as Tableau uses a different language, as the extension API does not intercept this. An example of this is the Measurenames object, which is translated into Kennzahlnamen in Germany.
Add a tableau worksheet to your dashboard, which should serve the graphomate component as data basis. graphomate component does not work without this worksheet, because there is no data for visualization otherwise. If more than one data source is available in the dashboard, a source query will appear on the graphomate extensions. Please select the preferred data source here (red box).
Open the graphomate property sheet by clicking on "Configure…" on the graphomate component.
The graphomate property sheet should have opened.
To change the data sheet later, use the Data Tab to select a Tableau worksheet. The data will then be passed to the graphomate extensions.
Use the graphomate property sheet to influence the configuration of the graphomate component.
